Harrisburg’s own Bishop McDevitt cracked the top 100 in the MaxPreps national rankings after a resounding 42-7 victory over Hershey on Friday. The team was led by strong quarterback play from junior play-caller Stone Saunders, a Kentucky commit. Saunders was nearly perfect on the night, going 13-16 for 253 yards and five touchdowns. Senior Chase Regan, a James Madison commit, was on the receiving end for three of those, racking up 148 yards in the process. The team will look to move to 8-0 on the season as they head to Lewisberry for a matchup with 2-5 Red Land High School on Friday the 13th.
Elsewhere around the region, several top 25 Pennsylvania teams were also in action. 3rd ranked Manheim beat Cedar Crest 42-0, 12th ranked Harrisburg defeated Central Dauphin East 34-27, 19th ranked State College beat Carlisle 55-20, and 20th ranked Southern Columbia Area won handily, 54-13 over Central Columbia.
