The Harrisburg Cougars breezed through their first game against the Delaware Valley Warriors, winning 32-3 last Saturday.
The Cougars started out hot by intercepting Delaware’s second play and returning it 38 yards for a TD less than five minutes into the game.
The Cougars struck again on a 5-play 41 TD pass in the second quarter, ending the half up 13-3.
The Cougars took advantage of the field possession in the second half and scored a 27-yard TD run to make it 18-3. From there, the Cougars took control of the game to cruise to a nearly 30-point victory.
In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Manheim Township Blue Streaks from Lancaster in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 10. Harrisburg will attempt to build on its 1-0 season record. The opposing Blue Streaks enter the match with a 1-1 record after their 40-0 non-league win over Dallastown.
