The Harrisburg Senators and Erie SeaWolves battled into the 11th inning when Erie scored a pair of runs to beat the Senators 9-7. Harrisburg rallied from deficits of 5-0 and 7-3 to tie the game on Wilson Garcia’s three run home run in the seventh inning. The Senators had chances, leaving the bases loaded in the first inning, a runner at second with no outs in the sixth, and the placed runner at second in the tenth inning.
Luis Reyes started and went 5.2 innings allowing five runs, seven hits, two walks and he struck out four. He walked the first batter of the game and with two outs in the first, hit a batter. They both scored on consecutive two out singles. Brian Gonzalez went two-thirds of an inning and allowed a run. Edgar Garcia went two-thirds of an inning and allowed a run on a hit. Andrew Lee pitched a perfect eighth inning. Zach Brzykcy pitched two perfect frames including the tenth inning. Alberto Guerrero took the loss allowing a two-out two-run home run in the eleventh inning.
Garcia singled and scored twice along with the three-run home run. Jack Dunn had two hits including a three-run double in the sixth inning to put the Senators on the board. John Nogowski and Jake Alu both had two hits. Nogowski scored twice and Alu doubled.
The Sens fell to 4-4 in extra innings with the loss. Erie has taken six of the seven games played between the teams.
